VALUES
HISTORY
JUVENTUD DE HOY is a non-profit organization and was born on June 01, 2017 with the initiative of Messrs. Andy and Dilia Stein, who have always sponsored children and adolescents around the world and the Dominican Republic was no exception, since they opened the Computer Center at the Niños y Niñas de Cristo Foundation, where our young people could learn everything related to technology and other skills.
Seeing the need to continue with the education of these young adults who have left the Children of Christ Foundation; begins on September 1 of 2017 the project JUVENTUD DE HOY which will guide these young people to finish their education, obtain decent jobs, workshops, skills and development in society.
JUVENTUD DE HOY begins with 24 fully equipped computers, printer, projector, support material and real estate that will be available to each of our young people, so that they can obtain a quality education totally free.
Concerning the training and development of our youth we will teach technology, English, skills, workshops, among others; that will allow our young people to enter society and be productive entities.
In another sense, we have the JUVENTUD DE HOY TRANSITION HOME (CCJH) which has the capacity to house around 25 young people over 18 who are interested in continuing their education and preparing themselves in all areas; having the privilege of obtaining payment for their studies, dormitories, food, health, among others.
TRANSPARENCY
In JUVENTUD DE HOY we know the importance of working with transparency and accountability to our donors, funders, collaborators and friends about how the money they contribute is invested.
For this reason, our financial statements will be audited every year and the summary of this evaluation will be presented in our Annual Report.
Thanks to the ORPHANED STARFISH FOUNDATION, ACTION INNOCENCE, JUST HOPE INTERNATIONAL and LOU GILMORE and those other people who contributed their grain of sand; we all made this dream come true.
