WHO WE ARE

The JUVENTUD DE HOY TRAINING CENTER (CCJH) is a non-profit, non-governmental institution, focused on the formation and development of children, adolescents and young adults in vulnerable situations, through training technical and comprehensive education, job search, technological skills, humanitarian aid, among others.

We are an institution founded on September 01, 2017 that creates conditions for children, adolescents and young people who live, lived or are at risk of living in the street of the city of La Romana, whose ages fluctuate from 12 onwards, independently of its origin, physical condition, emotional lacks, state of health, among others.

JUVENTUD DE HOY, which translates to YOUTH OF TODAY is currently sponsored by THE ORPHANED STARFISH FOUNDATION, an entity dedicated to helping orphaned children in situations of risk, so they can be able to fend for themselves and become successful adults as well as ACTION INNOCENCE which has a mission to preserve the dignity and integrity of children on the Internet and JUST HOPE which provides life training skills to our youth. These foundations alongside longtime philanthropist LOU GILMORE support the construction and operations of the professional training facilities.

The attention we provide in JUVENTUD DE HOY is comprehensive and personalized and involves the active participation of children, adolescents and young adults, as well as their families.

We also promote families, public institutions, civil society organizations and society in general, assume their responsibility through concrete actions from their sphere of influence, thus creating safe environments, restoring the social fabric to guarantee access to health, education, culture, participation and justice for all equally.
